We are a faith
community of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America,
serving the
Pecatonica community and surrounding areas since 1857.
 Recently we celebrated our 150th anniversary by reflecting on our
journey to this point in time, how we can best love God and our
neighbors today and our calling to build for a strong future. Pecatonica
is our home, but today our members also come from places such as Rockford,
Roscoe, Freeport, German Valley, Winnebago, Westlake Village, Byron,
and Durand. We are constantly developing new ministries in our effort to
reach people in the wider region we now serve and to be more relevant in the
lives of people living in our diverse society. Our congregation is best
known for its welcoming, friendly nature and its family atmosphere. We
are fully Lutheran in our approach to the new things we do and we
continue to offer the traditional forms of faith expression that have
made us who we are for more than a century and a half. We invite you to be a part
of our Sunday morning worship services and any of the other activities
that take place in our family of faith. Walk together with us on life's journey,
as we share
the love of Jesus Christ.
